A mish mash of thoughts and updates

Well another Thanksgiving has come and gone. I have to say my Turkey turned out fabulous again. I should have taken a picture of my perfectly golden brown bird. I owe great thanks to the meat thermometer.
I remember Thanksgiving THREE years ago I was in the early stages of pregnancy we had recently had our first ultrasound and I was feeling slightly queasy dealing with a raw bird. It was my very first Turkey that year.
The weather has really turned his week and we have had our first snowfall. The sky grey, rainy and cold. It really does nothing for my mood....at all! I "flipped out" on BIL last Saturday. I was so close to kicking him out. I had all his stuff packed up and ready to go, not to mention I had him locked out of the house. Fortunately he is off to Texas right away here and I already told dh that he is not welcome back when he returns. He can come for a visit but no coming/going access. I changed the garage code which was his access point.
I am just about to the end of my psych course. My exam is booked for the 27th. I also got approval for my research topic for my paper. I decided to stray from the suggested topics. I will be writing about perinatal loss, post traumatic stress disorder and effective treatments. I don't think I'll have any trouble with the very short 800-1000 word requirement and I am almost excited to get started with the writing this weekend. My tutor said she was looking forward to reading my paper.
What else....I've been thinking about Oct 15th coming up. I actually posted a close up head shot of Gavin on my FB. I am pretty sure this is a first for me. In a way I get apprehensive because I don't want to have to deal with anyone who might have a problem with the whole picture of a dead very preterm infant. Then on the other side I want to be able to share my Gavin the same way I share my Brennan.
Which reminds me we did some family photos on the weekend and a balloon release because they didn't have one at the Walk to Remember.

I thought Gavin's close up picture was beautiful.
