Surgery Update. #2

Brennan is doing well since his surgery. He had the stent removed yesterday. He did great and didn't even cry. Dr Kiddoo said it would be a while yet before the bruising and swelling go down. To my eye it is looking better...and different.

I got to hold a brand new born that day baby on Sunday. A friend...my birthday buddy had her second baby. At first her DR was going to let her vbac then as the end of the pregnancy neared started to voice concerns over a big baby. Friend of course got a little scared and decided a repeat c-section would be best. Anyways before it could even be booked her water broke. She had her repeat c-section and delivered a 7lb 3oz boy. Now had she stayed pregnant a while longer then yes maybe the baby would have been too large for a vbac....I am kind of wondering if her DR just said he was vbac friendly at the beginning and then frightened her off the idea....oh well guess we will never know.

So being back at the hospital brought back lots of memories. Of course I hadn't been on the AP/PP ward since Brennan was born. I can tell you I spent MANY hours alone circling the halls there the day/night after my water broke.

Holding the new baby was wonderful. It is so hard to even remember Brennan's first days, and when he was so small. Brennan was about 9oz heavier and the same length as this baby.

Baby bug is a biting.....

But there are other things first. DH just got a nice raise whoo hoo! We have been looking to buy a house although I am determined to wait till at least spring before we take the plunge. I go back to work in 56 days :(. I still have to write up a letter to my new boss...I have been procrastinating.

I am so tempted to ask Dr T for some Metformin so I can drop the BCP's and just see how things go. Maybe for January.
