A while back one of the blm I know locally started a face 2 face on fb. There are several of us locals. One of the ladies was telling us how after she lost her daughter that she started making blankets for the l&d ward to give to families experiencing a loss. She posted a link to some pictures of the very first batch she took to the hospitals. She made her first donation only a short time before Gavin was born. I looked through the pictures and then my heart stopped. There was Gavin's blanket. In my mind I had always pictured some little old lady making blankets for the hospitals babies. I was wrong. That blanket came from a place of grief and sadness just like mine. Made in memory of a baby girl named Isabella. A couple of weeks ago I got to met this lady in person. It felt so surreal that in a way without my even knowing her she was such an important part of my experience.
