Surgery postponed!

Well Dr Kiddoo herself called me this afternoon (her secretary was off) to let me know that a more urgent case has come up and that Brennan's surgery would need to be postponed. I told her that was fine, when could I expect the new date to be? She told me her secretary would have to give me a call back after the weekend, but she said it still could be in August, September for sure. I told her that was fine as long as it is over and he is recovered before I need to go back to work. She thanked me for being so understanding and mentioned she had a lot of calls to make.
I am not sure how it works but does that mean everyone gets bumped? That would be fair I suppose but a lot of work to reschedule everyone.
Well I am not upset or anything. She was really nice about it and I do understand that if there is a more urgent case they should get in sooner. It is just common sense. I know if Brennan was in the position to need urgent surgery I would appreciate that someone else had to give up their spot.
If he happens to get bumped again I might be a little miffed though. There is a degree of anxiety about him having surgery. The longer I wait the worse it gets!
