Well first off, Thanksgiving went well. My turkey was perfect, stuffing was good.....no complaints from the family. Thank goodness for a meat thermometer. I will tell you though we ended up cooking the thing upside down. I didn't know the difference, neither did DH but it worked well as the breast doesn't dry out so quickly.
Today DH mentioned to me that he needed PowerPoint for a presentation he has to do. Well we HAVE PowerPoint on several computers but our desktop is pretty old and runs slow, our first laptop has a broken screen (will work with an external screen), our second laptop mysteriously died a couple months ago and it's replacement a netbook doesn't have the program and I really don't want to load a copy onto it.
So after a trip out to a couple electronics stores and coming home with nothing I deleted a bunch of stuff off the desktop, hooked up Laptop #1 to the external monitor and browsed through some pics :), gave DH his options, I finally decided what the heck I will see if the dead laptop works. Lo and behold.....It's working!!! I sit here and type this very post on it.....lol
It's a small thing but absolutely brightens my day....

Glad you got your computer going again. D.G. and I are so spoiled each having our own laptop these days.
