My foot is looking better, not nearly as red. It is still sore. I suppose I should have done a little better research when I decided the foot was the place for it. I guess it's one of the more painful places to have tattooed and has a longer/harder healing time.
I wanted his feet to walk with mine since he never got the chance to do it for himself.
I hope it heals well FX! I will try to avoid shoes/socks and anything touching it as much as possible but it will be almost impossible to avoid completely, especially since I work in a professional office where flip flops are a big NO NO!
I picked the studio because another BLM went there and spoke about it on her blog. The studio is run by three women, and I choose one who is a mom. While she's never experienced loss of a pregnancy or child we had a great talk. She isn't afraid to talk to me about Gavin, the details of his birth and short life, our infertility and plans for the future. I am at a point that I like being able to talk freely about all that stuff.
Of course the tattoo while being very special to me in so many ways is also a conduit to open discussion with anyone who might be curious.

It looks gorgeous. Mine runs down from my ankle to the top of my foot and holy banana's it took forever to heal. And it was swollen up like a baseball. But worth it!!
If you have to come back for touch ups, let me know and we will go out for coffee. Isn't Meghan awesome?
