Happy Anniversary to us!

Today is our 3rd wedding anniversary. It didn't get off to such a great start. I awoke quite early this morning with a pounding headache. I always seem to get them right above my right eye. Boy do they hurt. So I stumbled out to the kitchen in search of my extra strength Advil and then headed back to bed and the dark. Fortunately, the pounding pain in my head dissipated enough for me to fall back asleep.

Around 7am DH brought Brennan in and said Happy Anniversary!! It actually took me a moment to remember that yes it was in fact our anniversary. Then off to work DH went. I had plans to take a walk to the store to at least pick up a card but mother nature may not allow....it's no wonder I have a monster headache. We are still planning to go to diner on Sunday to celebrate.

Our lives have certainly changed in the last three years. We canceled our honeymoon, moved across the country, have dealt with unemployment, job uncertainty, infertility, miscarriage, and the addition of Brennan to our lives this past October. We have changed as individuals and as a couple. I am not sure that it has been for the better either. We often joke that we are like an old married couple. We like to hang out at home, are in bed by 9pm....it's rather pathetic. But that is what happens when life is consumed by work (for DH) and Baby. I think it's time we bring a little excitement back into our relationship. I am not entirely sure how to accomplish this but I will think about it. Maybe we'll start with a date night once a month or something.
