Stranded.

Since we are a 1 car family I am often stuck at home. It's ok with me to an extent. My sister offered us her car which she no longer uses and as temping as that is having an extra insurance payment just to go out a couple times a week just doesn't seem practical (Sometimes I hate that part of my personality). Normally my parents who are both retired will take us out at least once a week or come by to visit. The take us to and pick us up from appointments. I have also walked over to their place with B. They are quite close by. They also lend me their car if I want to go visit a friend.

So yesterday my mom and dad phone and tell me they have decided to go away for a couple of days. They were planning to go last week but the weather sucked. They came by dropped off their keys and had a visit. I am glad that they are finally going somewhere, I don't think they have gone anywhere since they moved here almost 3 years ago. At the same time I feel really stranded now....especially with DH working 12 hour days.

This morning I was playing with B on the floor and he fell backwards hitting his head. OMG I feel like a total turd I was sitting right there with him and didn't catch him. Well he cried, after a while he calmed down and I got a bottle for him as it was nearing naptime. As he was eating he was falling asleep and I noticed he was shaking. Seriously. Now I am freaking out, is he having a seizure or what?!!? He finishes up his bottle and I lay him in bed....he seems fine. I have checked him numerous times he is sleeping away. But in my head I am thinking what would I do if something serious had happened or something was wrong. My parents aren't nearby do I call an ambulance....what warrants calling an ambulance....do I call DH to come take us to the DR to I take a cab with no car seat?

Apparently I still need my Mommy and Daddy. I don't know what I would do without them.
