Jeremiah 29:11 (The Message) I'll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out -plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.
I've always loved that verse. Years ago, I was at lost ends, trying to figure out what to do next, where my life should go, what God was calling me to do.
I happened to run into one of the older women in our church, I drove her home in a rain storm, and I was telling her about my struggles, and she quoted that verse to me.
She quoted it again to me at my wedding, and then sent a card to me after Gabriel died, reminding me of it.
