How does one spell their own name wrong?!?!

So I submitted applications for birth and death certificates. I got a call last week from the registry office saying there was a problem with the way my name was registered. That my middle name was registered without and E but on my application I wrote in an E.

I told the lady that yes my name does have an E. She said ok, they (the government) will send you an amendment.

I assume that the hospital filled in some part and just forgot the E.

I got the amendment in the mail today with a copy of the registration. Apparently I am the idiot that doesn't know how to spell my own name. But I had a good excuse. My eyes were practically swollen shut from crying when I filled out that paperwork.

So I have to fill in the amendment and get the darn thing notarized or signed by a commissioner of oaths, so I guess that means I will be making a trip into work sooner than I though.

The positives....well at least I can get the "I'm so sorry" stuff out of the way before I actually have to work a full day.

I did get the death certificate a couple days ago, that didn't require any amendments.
