We have a new son, our precious baby boy, born way to early. My heart is shattered.
I supposed I should back track just a little since I have been a terrible blogger. August 2009 we did our first iui cycle with Gonal F in hopes of conceiving a sibling for Brennan. We were extremely fortunate to have a nearly perfect cycle and a BFP at the end.
I may resent having to do fertility treatments but I know we are very lucky to have a relatively inexpensive treatment seem to work so well for us.
Everything in the pregnancy was progressing perfectly, at 7w3d we saw a beautiful blob with a lovely heartbeat. At 13w6d a perfect Nuchal Translucency scan. At 18w3d just two days before Christmas a healthy anatomy scan where we learned we were expecting a little boy, a brother for Brennan. I was so happy for Brennan, for all of us.....little did I know that just over 2 weeks later we would go through the tragedy and devastation of losing this perfect little boy.
