Second Child and Second Son

When you have your second child and especially a child of the same gender as the first there isn't a whole lot of preparation to do or things to buy.

On Dec 23 we confirmed that we would indeed be having our second son. I started to get itchy to go through the numerous bins in the basement and pull out the tiny blue clothes and get Gavin's room organized. There were a few things on my "wish list" to get.

But it was Christmas and it was busy. The week after Christmas between New Years I was so sick with a bad cold. I was out of commission for a week. Then less than a week later Gavin was born and died.

The only things I had purchased for him were some cloth diaper supplies and one nightgown. As you can see in the picture I picked up some g diaper covers and made my own cloth inserts. I thought it would be so cute for little Gavin to have a g on his bum.

I am up way to early today and not feeling well at all. I think I am going to be sick. Wonderful.

Oh I also got another health card in the mail yesterday. This one with Gavin's full name and information on it. I guess I will have to call today...
